Break Up - How To Overcome The Break up Pain
If you are surviving a break-up right now then getting over the pain of it is foremost in your mind. It's a difficult time because life as you knew it has changed and coming to grips with that is one of the toughest things of all.
The routine you had with him/her which included family get-togethers has suddenly come to a halt and the relationships you made through this relationship are not going to continue as they once did. But this is a time to push forward and one of the best ways to handle a break-up is to focus on something else.
In this article we'll look at ways you can do this and by applying this strategy you'll begin to transition into a new and more exciting phase and eventually, attract someone new into your life. But you need to make the committment and follow these strategies through and most of all, think about positive things in your future.
#1. It's time to condition your mind to stop thinking about how you'll survive without him/her. The break-up has happened and there is little chance of getting back with your ex. Once you accept that then you'll be amazed at how quickly things can turn around. Many broken hearts will just dwell on the past the remember the good times but there were also bad times and focusing on these will help you get to the stage where you feel comfortable living without them.
#2. Resist the temptation to frequent places you often spent time together at. These places will have memories for you and the worst thing you can do is make progress and then head to a restaurant you and your ex used to frequent a lot. This can immediately set you back. Those memories will come flooding back in a big way and that's normal especially early in your recovery phase.
#3. those friends you both hung out with may be detrimental to your progress to get over this break-up right now. Sure they are still your friends and will remain so but again, there are memories which will surface and just seeing someone's face you both hung together as a couple with can be tough to handle. Right now, stick to things that make you feel good and you can always resume these relationships later once the pain has subsided.
#4. Before you started your relationship were there things you used to enjoy and did frequently? If yes then pick up on them again. This is a great way to take your mind off the former relationship and while it's a day-by-day process, it gives you the opportunity to concentrate on something else you like and eventually this will become routine.
These tips will help a lot to get over the break up much faster than you think. Pride can be a drawback in many circumstances but in this case, it will be a huge help. Use it to your advantage and because you are a priority and a survivor and you need to do what helps you right now. Yes this is selfish thinking but it's necessary and the sooner you start to put your own well being first the quicker you'll start to like yourself again and move on.
